Omaha Skills Connections approach to achieving a brighter future for residents of North Omaha will be accomplished through these Pillars of Community Impact:
1. To eliminate barriers for participants by providing career readiness opportunities.
2. To support a disciplined, dynamic, dedicated, and well-trained team of workforce professionals.
3. To create a network of collaborations between public, private, and non-profit organizations working directly with stakeholders to help close today’s skills gap for minorities in trades.
4. To provide participants access to experienced mentors and engaging, project-based learning opportunities.
About the program.
Our mission is to eliminate barriers to economic well-being for marginalized populations through career readiness, financial literacy, and mentoring.
Our vision is a community in which individuals and families have equitable access to economic stability to mitigate the effects of historical poverty in the area and the right connections to foster long-term stability for all.

Crown Academy’s BIPOC Ages 7-17 youth mentoring program is an advocacy career-focus initiative that provides low-income youth with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to succeed in today’s world.
Financial Literacy
Financial literacy focuses on concepts needed to manage money, credit, saving plans, investments, and understanding taxes.
Career Development
Omaha Skills Connection career readiness program provide skills that are transferable to any career pathway, regardless what skill set is required.
